Our leadership philosophy is based on the strenghtsbased perspective. The idea is not to ignore weaknesses but the emphasis for any leader with Aalborg Portland should be a deep understanding of what they bring to the table and not trying to be something they are not.
We believe that a leader should know his or her strengths, invest in the strengths of others, getting people with the right strenghts on their team, and understand and meet the basic needs of those who look to them for leadership.
We focus on a range of leadership competences that will help to strengthen the behaviors that we believe give good results. In addition, a shared set of leadership competences create a common understanding of great leadership in Aalborg Portland, and it strengthens our culture by introducing the same “leadership language” across our companies and functions.
