Som led i Aalborg Portland Nordic & Baltic Graduate Programme leder vi efter en nyuddannet ingeniør til at deltage i den løbende forbedring og udvikling af vores cementproduktion i Aalborg. Tiltrædelse 1/9 2017.

Læring gennem job rotationer

Vores toårige graduate program består af tre rotationer til forskellige afdelinger i virksomheden, med det formål at udfordre og udvikle dig professionelt samt personligt gennem on-the-job training og direkte ansvar. Du vil blive certificeret inden for Lean Six Sigma samt specialiserede kurser inden for cement og samtidig indgå i projekter og teams bestående af teknikere, ledere og stabsfunktioner. For at sikre den målrettede læring og udvikling vil du samtidig få mulighed for karrierevejledning samt en personlig udviklingsplan. Der ud over vil du få etableret gode relationer og netværk inden for virksomheden.

Stillingen

Som graduate i cementproduktionen vil du blive involveret i mange typer ansvar og opgaver. Sideløbende med kurser og træning gennem graduateprogrammet vil du få en grundig introduktion til produktionens metoder, processer, og udstyr. Sammen med din uddannelsesmæssige baggrund og personlige kvalifikationer vil dette sætte dig i stand til at varetage ansvaret for projekter og aktiviteter inden for procesoptimering, anvendelse af udstyr m.m.

Dine primære ansvarsområder vil inkludere:

  • Kvalitetssikring af cementprodukter og produktionsprocesser
  • Procesoptimering af end-to-end produktionsprocesser og subprocesser
  • Projektledelse og deltagelse i projekter omhandlende produktionsapparatet, samt metoder og processer
  • Sikre høj kvalitet i produktion og produkt gennem kontinuerlig udvikling og anvendelse af forståelsen for cementkvalitet og produktets anvendelse i eksempelvis betonproduktion

Din primære arbejdsplads vil være vores cementfabrik i Aalborg, hvor du refererer direkte til Production Manager Søren Konstmann Lausen. Der vil være rejseaktivitet forbundet med graduateprogrammet, og jobrotationer kan forekomme til andre lokationer end Aalborg, såfremt du indvilliger i det.

Kandidaten

Den rigtige kandidat har netop færdiggjort, eller er i gang med at færdiggøre, sin uddannelse som ingeniør, mekanisk ingeniør eller kemiingeniør. Stillingen kræver at du kan tillære det, der ikke er indholdt i din uddannelse, da du vil blive involveret i alle aspekter af produktionen.

Derudover forventer vi, at du:

  • Har en analytisk tilgang til dit arbejde
  • Er i stand til at optræde udadvendt i samarbejdet med kollegaer og partnere
  • Har en naturlig præference for at bevare overblik, men er i stand til at sætte dig ind i detaljer ved en problemstilling for at finde den bedst mulige løsning
  • Er en logisk tænker, der kan foretage årsagsanalyser af problemstillinger
  • Er beskeden – i arbejdssammenhæng skal du kunne optræde ”i støvet” i produktionen såvel som på direktionsgangen, så beskedenhed og tålmodighed er stærke kompetencer
  • Taler dansk og gerne engelsk – begge sprog anvendes i virksomheden

As part of the Aalborg Portland Nordic & Baltic Graduate Program, we are looking for a newly graduated engineer to participate in the continued optimisation and development of our cement production in Aalborg.

Two years of accelerated learning with job rotations

Our two-year graduate programme consists of three rotations within the company, designed to challenge and boost your professional and personal skills through on-the-job training and hands-on responsibility. You will receive a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification and a crash course in cement, and you will become involved in project work and join a core team from both the technical and business management functions. To ensure that your learning progresses, you will also get career guidance and a personal development plan. Additionally, you will be associated with leaders across our organisation depending on your track.

The position

As a graduate in our cement production, you will be involved in a great variety of tasks and responsibilities. Alongside the training and certification in the graduate program, you will be given a thorough introduction to our production processes and equipment in order for you to take responsibility for projects and activities to optimise processes as well as equipment use.

Primary areas of responsibility and tasks include:

  • Quality assurance of cement product and production process
  • Process optimisation of end-to-end production processes and subprocesses
  • Project management and participation in various project concerning production
  • Understanding the importance of cement quality to its application, i.e. in concrete production, thus ensuring high quality production
  • The development and implementation of best practice

You will work at the cement plant in Aalborg, either directly in production or as part of the project and processes unit. You will report director to Production Manager Søren Konstmann Lausen or to the manager of Production Support & Process, Kim Øster Larsen.

The right candidate

The right candidate will have recently graduated as an engineer, mechanical engineer or chemical engineer. You will be involved in all aspects of the production, so the ability to learn what was not in your degree in necessary.

Furthermore, we expect the right candidate to:

  • Have an analytical approach to work
  • Be able to apply an extrovert behaviour when cooperating with colleagues
  • Have a natural preference for keeping an overview, whole being able to go into detail to achieve best possible solution
  • Be a logical thinker – wishing to explore root cause to pending issues
  • Adopt a modest approach to the work setting. As part of the production unit, you will spend time working “in the dust”, as well as on the executive floor, so modesty and patience aree good virtues
  • Additionally, Master Danish and/or English – both languages are company languages

The Graduate Program offers rotations to two other business units in the Nordic & Baltic Region, which you will have great influence on.
